In the spotlight our first legacy donor

ALEKSANDER HAAVANIIT

One important and early source of income for the foundation was from Haavaniit's Springmount Nurseries & Landscaping in Owen Sound, Ontario, which was donated to the foundation by owner Aleksander Haavaniit in 1978. By the end of 1984 the foundation had received about $140,000 from the business.
