Foundation Objectives

The objectives of the Estonian Foundation of Canada:

Leadership

• Promote effective and efficient institutions
• Promote an inclusive culture between Estonian Canadians, the supporting organizations, and the Canadian community at large
• Foster the exchange of ideas
• Encourage greater youth participation

Service

• Provide financial support and counsel
• Provide strategic and tactical assistance
• Encourage greater contact and participation between Estonian Canadian communities

Education

• Provide opportunities to further education and enhance skills
• Educate Canadians about Estonians and the Republic of Estonia
• Build links to educational and cultural institutions in Estonia
• Provide support for partnerships

Communication

• Encourage greater interaction and contact within the Canadian Estonian community
• Support a better understanding of Estonia and Estonians in Canada
• Encourage healthy debate within the Estonian communities through the sharing of information and transparency

Fiscal Responsibility

• Ensure the continued financial stability of the Estonian Foundation through good governance, transparency and strategic investments
• Abide by CRA rules and regulations
