Peeter Põldre

Peeter Põldre is Professor emeritus of Medicine at the University of Toronto. For twenty years he served as a Vice President at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre while also practicing as a clinical hematologist. He is a Past President of the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario, where he also served for ten years on the board and the discipline committee.

In 2024, Peeter was appointed by the Minister of Education to the Council of Early Childhood Educators where he also serves on the discipline committee. He is the Chair of the Board of The Riverwood Conservancy. In the local Estonian community, Peeter is a member of korp! Vironia. For two decades he has been a community events photographer for the Estonian Life newspaper and its website.

Peeter has been a Director on the Foundation’s Board since 2004 and is a past Secretary (2006-2016).
