EKKT October Annual Art Show 2021

The EKKT 66th annual art show will be held at the Todmorden Mills Heritage Site, running from Wednesday October 6th-17th, 2021                                                                                                                                                                                                                        Papermill Art Gallery,  67 Pottery Road, Toronto, Ontario

New artists include EKKT 2021 scholarship recipient Sofia Musta, EKKT Kalevipoeg Art Contest winner Sylva Oja, photoartist, dancer and author Karin Vagiste, and photoartist and film director Montgomery Grünthal Langford.

This year's guest artists are:

Six Nations of the Grand River, Haudenosaunee writer, illustrator and McMaster assistant clinical professor, Lorrie Gallant.

Latvian print artist from Dawson City, Yukon, John Steins.

Latvian oil painter Valda Oestreicher.

Former Women’s Art Association of Canada artist in residence print artist Susan Farquhar.

British printing artist Britta Benno. The Cotton Factory managing partner, Rob Zeidler, announced a few days ago that Britta will come to Canada with her son Ukku on October 2 and will also be at our show.

The opening is on October 7, from 6pm to 9pm, and like last year, about 50 people are allowed. Professor Andres Kasekamp is our guest speaker and Erik Kreem will perform on piano.

As last year created an opportunity for EKKT to have a virtual exibition, our artists will again be seen in an on-line show from October 1st-November 1st, 2021.

Ashley Lennox has shown with of EKKT for many years and her captivating art pieces relating to Kalevipoeg will be available to be seen at the show.
